If you have a tummy tuck procedure done, which is one of the procedures offered at Naravee Aesthetic Clinic
, there will be a recovery period after it's done. To help make the recovery go smoother, it may help to know some things you can do to help your recovery along.
One thing it is important to do is to keep up with your pain medication schedule. It is likely that you will feel abdominal pain in the first few days after the procedure, and there may also be swelling. Taking your pain medications on time will help keep the pain and swelling down, though it won't be able to stop them entirely. Similarly, keeping up with your antibiotics schedule is also important. It is likely you will be prescribed some type of antibiotic after the surgery, and taking it on a regular basis will help lower the chance of getting an infection while you recover. If you stop taking the antibiotics, there is a chance your body could become resistant to them and may not be as effective when you start taking them again.
Wearing an abdominal support garment can help with the healing by keeping swelling down and promoting more blood flow to your abdomen. They come in numerous shapes and sizes, so you can find one that first you the most comfortably. You may even want to consider purchasing two or three, as if you only wear one the entire time, it can start to stink after a while. Having two or three on-hand will allow you to put one on while washing the other.
While you should avoid any strenuous activities such as exercise during the first week or so of your recovery, it may be a good idea to walk around for a little while each day after the surgery. Doing so will help prevent blood clots from forming, and can get a good blood flow going, which can help speed up the healing process. Keep in mind, however, that it shouldn't be rigorous walking, but rather simply getting up and walking around the house (or walking around your yard) for about 10 minutes each day.
